About Andrew Dougherty

I grew up in the small town community of Germantown in Columbia County with my 5 siblings on what we knew as a weekender's farm. My dad, an IBM'er and my mom, a registered nurse were both raised downstate and desired a simpler, rural life for us. My wife and I raised our own 2 children in the Village of Athens here in Greene County. I was employed for over 40 years by the former General Electric and presently SABIC Innovative Plastics Business as a Quality Assurance Technician and retired in April 2016. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from SUNY Albany in 2005. I'm active in St. Patrick's Catholic Community of Athens/Catskill as a minister of music and Adult Faith Formation. I love to bike, swim and kayak.

 

I enjoy maintaining and improving our 13-acre country property with my wife Susan in the Coxsackie township where my younger sister lives nearby. I am new in the Real Estate business and am really enjoying this new career since starting with Century 21 New West Properties, here in Catskill. I always look forward to working with new clients and with the wonderful professional folks I have come to meet in this business.

 

I can offer my customers my knowledge and familiarity with both Greene and Columbia Counties. I love meeting and working with new people and I am anxious to go the extra mile to help them find that piece of property that fulfills my client's wants and needs!
